DEAR FRIENDS OF THE GUITAR !

Welcome to the online home of Bideford Bay Guitars, and our world wide guitar lover’s community. Regardless of your playing ability, our wish is to provide you with your ideal guitar service. We have achieved this for many players in our local street store. Because of the good feeling that this has generated, our aim now is to provide a virtual version of our street success, and deliver happiness into the hands of players wherever we can reach them.

Our new and improved web-site will be improving continuously for the time being, and we welcome your comments on our progress. By the end we hope to have in place such delights as a series of video tutorials for subscribing members and students with playing tips and techniques, and product demonstrations and reviews. We will also welcome your comments and personal experiences with regard to guitar equipment on our member’s forum. 

Bideford Bay Guitars are of course based in Bideford, Devon. For those of you who do not know the area, it’s a great place to visit, so if you do, feel free to drop in and talk guitars. If you are interested in a particular item or service call us in advance and arrange an appointment for some one to one time and as much caffeine-flavoured tar as you can handle. OUR HISTORY ..

Well, throughout my professional guitar playing years, I longed for a shop where I could go and spend time musing over guitar related issues with knowledgeable staff, who were interested in me, even when I was a student, and somewhere I could find good taste and quality products.

I wanted the feeling I was being sold something which suited me and my particular sound, rather than being sold this week’s excess stock. I wanted a shop that promoted good tone and great sounding gear; a shop that cared if I was into Metal, Jazz, Rock, Country, Goth, Punk or Blues, and, who could help me regardless. Eventually, as my ideal shop did not exist in my area, I decided to open one, and provide exactly those products and services I had always desired.

So Bideford Bay Guitars was opened on 06.06.06, and since, we haven’t looked back. I guarantee that you, as our customer, will be treated in the way I have often longed to be treated in a guitar shop. Hopefully this will introduce you to a new level of enjoyment when playing your guitar, from which you too, will never look back!
